‘A digital anti -aircraft guns in the port of Rotterdam’ | Interview Evelien Bras in magazine Onze Haven
At a time when more and more digital is happening and in which everything and everyone is connected, investing in cyber security and digital resilience is an absolute necessity. At least, if we want to stay that smart, safe haven, says Evelien Bras, director of Ferm, today in an extensive interview in our port. “Take your responsibility. Not only for yourself, but also for your environment. ”
Cyber security
Cyber security and digital resilience are two of the most important themes in the port, but at the same time not all companies are aware of this. “We are as a country, as Europe so dependent on the port of Rotterdam. And for the logistics chain we are again dependent on digitization, we can no longer live without it. Everything and everyone is connected to the system. If such a system is vulnerable, it can have very expensive, even disastrous consequences for customers and partners and ultimately the outside world. ” At CyberSecurity you may initially think about combating criminal attacks, but it goes beyond that. Bras: “It’s also about resilience. Think of human mistakes that are made, power outages … that can happen, but we must prevent the system from falling out completely. ”
